NJR2-D · BYPASS SOFT STARTER
NJR2-D is a bypass-based soft starter, not an online architecture.
The 2026 source lists NJR2-D as a 380 V soft starter from 7.5 kW to 500 kW. It controls thyristor modules for soft start/stop and requires an external bypass contactor.
Verified source data
Architecture is the first selection decision.
| Item | NJR2-D source data | Selection note |
|---|---|---|
| Main voltage | 380 V family | Confirm actual system voltage |
| Motor power range | 7.5–500 kW | Use motor current and load duty for final sizing |
| Architecture | External bypass contactor required | Bypass contactor must be coordinated |
| Standards | GB/T 14048.6; IEC 60947-4-2 | Check project certification requirements |
| Protection | Overload, input/output phase loss, short-circuit/load fault, start-limit timeout, over/undervoltage | Review external feeder protection separately |
Bypass-contactor rule
The starter and bypass contactor form one system.
Do not omit the bypass contactor. NJR2-D is explicitly described as requiring an external bypass contactor. Cabinet designs should be checked for contactor current, coil/control logic and thermal duty.
