NC1 · AC-3 MOTOR DUTY
NC1 AC contactor: verify motor duty, coil voltage and NR2 coordination.
NC1 is a general-purpose motor-control contactor family for frequent starting and control of AC motors. The source data lists operation at 50/60 Hz, working voltage to 690 V and AC-3 current to 95 A at 400/380 V class.
Verified source data
Key values summarized from the 2026 product compilation.
| Item | NC1 source data | Selection note |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | GB/T 14048.4; IEC/EN 60947-4-1 | Confirm local certification requirements separately |
| Working voltage | Up to 690 V | Do not confuse line voltage with coil voltage |
| AC-3 current | Up to 95 A at 400/380 V class | Match to motor current and duty |
| Frequency | 50 Hz or 60 Hz | Confirm coil frequency marking |
| Overload family | NR2 listed with NC1 | Choose an NR2 range that contains motor FLA |
NC1 + NR2 relationship
The 2026 NR2 table explicitly lists NC1/CJX2 contactors with NR2 ranges. This corrects a common family mix-up: NR8 is primarily paired with NC8, not NC1.
Verified relationship: NC1 → NR2. For large NC2 sizes, NR2-150 appears in the same family coordination data.
Before ordering
Five data points prevent most contactor mismatches.
- Full motor nameplate current and voltage
- Exact NC1 size or required AC-3 current
- Coil voltage and AC/DC marking
- Auxiliary-contact requirement
- NR2 overload range and mounting arrangement
