NC1 · AC-3 MOTOR DUTY

NC1 AC contactor: verify motor duty, coil voltage and NR2 coordination.

NC1 is a general-purpose motor-control contactor family for frequent starting and control of AC motors. The source data lists operation at 50/60 Hz, working voltage to 690 V and AC-3 current to 95 A at 400/380 V class.

NC1 + NR2 relationship

The 2026 NR2 table explicitly lists NC1/CJX2 contactors with NR2 ranges. This corrects a common family mix-up: NR8 is primarily paired with NC8, not NC1.

Verified relationship: NC1 → NR2. For large NC2 sizes, NR2-150 appears in the same family coordination data.

Before ordering

Five data points prevent most contactor mismatches.

  • Full motor nameplate current and voltage
  • Exact NC1 size or required AC-3 current
  • Coil voltage and AC/DC marking
  • Auxiliary-contact requirement
  • NR2 overload range and mounting arrangement
